How to consign - Manual

Send me details of the bag you want to consign.

Include the brand, model, colour and approximate age if you know it.

Tell me what comes with the bag — for example, dust bag, box, receipt, strap or authenticity card.

Do not send the bag until I have confirmed that I want to accept it.

I will agree the expected selling price with you.

I will explain my commission.

I will tell you approximately how much you will receive if the bag sells.

I will explain how long i will hold/list the bag for.

Make sure you are happy with these terms before sending anything.

Empty all pockets.

Check inside the bag for personal belongings.

Remove anything you do not want me to receive.

Include any agreed accessories or paperwork.

Do not clean, repair or alter the bag unless I have asked you to.

Make sure the bag is securely packed.

Pack it properly

Put the bag inside suitable protective packaging.

Use a strong outer box or parcel packaging.

Protect delicate hardware and handles from being damaged.

Do not just put an expensive handbag into a thin mailing bag.

If the bag has a dust bag or box, protect these too.

Send it using tracked delivery

Always use a tracked and insured delivery service where appropriate.

Keep your postage receipt.

Keep the tracking number until I confirm that i have received the bag.

You are responsible for making sure the parcel is correctly addressed and sent.

Send me the tracking number.

Tell me which delivery service you have used.

Keep an eye on the tracking until it shows as delivered.

Please don't worry if I don't confirm receipt immediately — I may need time to safely process incoming parcels.

Once your parcel arrives, I will check the bag against the information you provided.

I will check its condition and the items included with it.

I may contact you if something is different from what was originally described.

Depending on the bag, I may carry out authentication or other checks before listing it.

If I have concerns about authenticity, condition or ownership, I may need to ask you for further information.

Please do not send a bag you know or suspect is counterfeit.

Once accepted, I will photograph and/or list the bag for sale.

I will advertise it at the agreed price.

I will handle enquiries from potential buyers.

You don't need to deal with individual buyers yourself.

While your bag is with me.

Your bag remains yours until it is sold, subject to the terms you agreed with me.

Please don't assume you can collect it immediately if you change your mind — check the agreed consignment terms first.

If you want to change the price or collect the bag, contact me rather than arranging anything directly with a buyer

I will confirm that it has sold.

I will deduct my agreed commission and any other agreed costs.

You will receive the remaining amount according to my agreed payment terms.

Depending on my agreement, you may be able to extend the listing, change the price or have the bag returned.
